If we think music as parallel threads of sound, there exist infinite opportunities to create new textures, for example, by arranging Chinese musical ideas and instruments (such as those in Chinese traditional operas) with western ones both in serial and in parallel. If one further introduces ideas and instruments from modern western pop music (such as "hard rock&roll" and jazz) to the threads, things might become even more interesting. Digital and computing technologies have made experiments of this sort easier.
The composer wishes to thank the vocalists who have assisted in these experiments. Honoring their wishes, they are identified by pseudonyms.
